You might be wondering whether our work styles are compatible and if we'll get along well enough to be productive.
And you want to make sure that I won't overbook myself and turn you over to an assistant. I share these concerns.I limit the number of clients I work with at any one time so I can give each one of them the attention they deserve. Each consulting engagement is uniquely designed to fit the needs of the particular business owner.
Before we decide to work together, we'll talk on the phone and get to know each other a little better. I'll try to answer any questions you have about the process we'll use.
When you're already pressed for time and energy you don't want to be wasting your time on things that don't work. You want solutions that are easy to understand and can be put into practice quickly.
All of my written material is designed to be used this way. I use plain English and avoid computer slang and jargon whenever possible. The way I've written this web site is a good example.
I do the same thing when I talk. My style has often been described as "business casual." But, as I tell the students in my classes, if we need to discuss "depreciation," I hope you'll excuse the five syllable word and wait for the explanation that will follow in much simpler terms. There are some words that just don't have any synonyms!
